DTF printing is a new printing technology that acts as an alternative to direct to garment (DTG) printing. the major and only difference is that DTG is ued to print natural-fiber fabrics only.DTF on the other hand,has a much more versatile fabric option,and can print on apparel such as silk, polyester,mylon, and even cotton. This versatility of DTF is why it is quicky growing to become a popular printing option in the industry.
1. DTF printed film
The transfer film used by the DTF printer is different from the one used by a screen printer. The DTF transfer film is 0.75 mm thick, has better transfer function, and is more suitable for handling a variety of unique clothing types. These films are often called direct films or DTF transfer films.
They can be used in single pages for small-scale users and rolls for large commercial enterprises. DTF transfer film can be hot or cold stripped according to temperature. You can choose our smooth or matte DTF transfer film according to different needs, perfect for design professionals who need high quality, durable, large format color printing.
2. Use directly for film printer ink
The DTF printer uses unique ink and is designed in white, yellow, cyan, magenta, black and fluorescent colors. However, white ink lays the foundation for your print, while the rest of the paint prints your design on a PET film.
3. Hot melt powder
DTF powder is a hot melt powder made of polyurethane resin and not made into adhesive powder. It completely covers the transfer film print before the suppression process begins. The DTF powder helps to successfully transfer the bright colors, graphics or images from the DTF transfer film to the fabric when not heated.
DTF powder or DTF pretreatment powder with untreated and pretreated sheets eliminated the need for pretreatment. This is the norm in most printing techniques (such as direct clothing (DTG) printing). Preprocessing usually results in unpredictable staining, which negatively affects the quality of the final result. Thus, DTF powder is a game changer in the printing industry. They help to address the challenges associated with other printing technologies.
According to the texture, DTF powder can be divided into fine powder, medium powder and coarse powder. It can be divided into white powder and black powder according to the color. They are applicable to different printing cases, and provide different printing effects.
